LIFE photo archive hosted by GoogleThe pictures are nearly endless and date from the 1750s to today. I was entirely lost in the pictorial imagery of our country and the world. On the right of the search screen are names of people, places and events that make you want to click away (see screen shot of the Marie Curie link) . Many of these pictures were never published and now Google has them online.
The ability to browse by decade is an added attraction.
If you are looking for imagery for teaching and learning - here are the pages for you. I would hope that none of these would be blocked in any schools.
