Several weeks ago, I took the plunge into the world of the iPad. I find it to be very good for reading morning emails, headlines, and weather. It also works well as a notetaking, web-browsing lightweight tool at meetings and conferences.
It is not yet ready for prime time when I need to work on my websites or blogs, but I am not unhappy to own one.
I did find it a bit cumbersome to read from when seated - until Robyn Betts or DogNamedBanjo fame, sent me the iPad Pillow! It is exactly what I needed to hold the iPad it position for easy reading and touching. (Robyn happens to be my daughter-in-law, so I am lucky enough to have an iTouch pillow and a netbook cover also!)
