Final thoughts on NECC 2009

I have not really had time to reflect on the NECC09 experience. It seems that the goal for a majority of attendees was networking and personal contacts. I would like to see the results of the online evaluations. People were very selective on picking their sessions - the lounges were always full of working educators. Online tools such as Twitter and Facebook have brought people together virtually, NECC brought them together physically. I was astounded at the number of participants that attended the sessions virtually from the lounges rather than in the actual presentation rooms.  This allowed for discussions and extensions during the events.  Maybe the new ISTE Conference should take this into consideration when alloting space for the Bloggers's Cafe and the Playgrounds.
