The Washington Post has published an interactive map that allows you to navigate articles, photos, video and commentary from around the globe. Simple navigation through previous days and dragging the globe makes this a unique experience.
Everything is updated through a timeline and the zooming capabilities are fantastic. You can search the timeline / maps with terms in the news. It will certainly take up a large portion of your own timeline.
