Lester Holt served as the moderator for the Tuesday Keynote at NECC 2008.
Lester began with comments on the initiatives from NBC for educators. Here are a few bullet highlights:
News is no longer TV - we may see Lester on our phones, bus monitors, plane screens
NBC has launched NBC Learn (a paid service) : archives on demand through iChalk and I
cue - outstanding content, new media literacy, easy to use platform.
Great recordings of historical events - the video showed examples of interactive resources.
I can see how I could spend hours and hours just reviewing these myself. I find it a shame that they are not available without cost to districts.
